Our story

As a prominent cardiologist, Commwell’s founder Professor Daniel David saw at firsthand the many challenges being experienced by medical professionals at the forefront of dealing with a rapidly aging population with increased life expectancy and a rise in chronic diseases. The problems he witnessed and experienced in the early 70s are still true today. Healthcare systems are battling to cope with growing needs, there’s a shortage of caregivers, and many rural populations don’t have access to healthcare facilities, experts or technology.
It was clear that something had to be done to bring continuous monitoring and preventive care to those who needed it, by using advanced communications to enhance wellness. That was the beginning of Commwell.
